Students will receive textbooks. These are new books and should be protected. Students should cover them ASAP (as soon as possible).

Textbook receipts should be signed and returned. Parents should keep the blue copy.

Students will:

Be introduced to the new textbook

Write answers to a pretest

Discuss the “Geography and Map Skills” section of the textbook

Be quizzed on the following terms: Quiz date-8/15/08

latitude, compass rose, equator, degrees, meridians, hemispheres, scale, legend, ocean, island, continent, globe
